Outdoor therapy is psychotherapy that takes place in a natural setting rather than traditional office. Sessions may involve walking or sitting while we talk, allowing the natural environment to become part of the therapeutic experience.

Not at all. You can walk, sit, or a combination of both. Sessions are adapted to what feels most comfortable and supportive for you.

Nature doesn’t always cooperate with our plans! If weather conditions make an outdoor session uncomfortable or unsafe, we can move your session indoors or online when possible. Your safety and comfort always come first.

Dress comfortably and for the weather. Comfortable shoes, Layers, and clothing suitable for walking on natural terrain are recommended. However, if you are coming straight from work or an event, outdoor therapy can be enjoyed seated as well!

My approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and Gottman-informed couples therapy.

Individual therapy rates are $170, and couples therapy rates are $220.

At this time, we are not set up to bill insurance companies directly. At the completion of your session payment can be made through e-transfer or credit card (billed through the Jane App), and you will receive a receipt to submit to your insurance provider.

Absolutely. True Nature was created around the belief that therapy doesn’t have to happen in one particular setting. Depending on availability and your needs, you can chose the environment that feels most supportive on any given day.
